About Me

My Photo
Senior Dog Central (Old Dogs Rule!)
New England, United States
Puppies are cute and fuzzy but nothing beats a senior dog! I've had dogs my whole life (except during my time as a city dweller). I've seen pups being born and had dogs that were with us from puppyhood through old age, dogs who came to us as more seasoned adults, and Bailey, who we adopted from a shelter at age 10. Bailey was still going strong at 15 until a vascular incident left him unable to walk and his body broke down.He died just before his 16th birtday. He was an inspiration. This labor of love was my husband's idea because Bailey is one of the loves of my life and because I want to do something rewarding. When I was talking about starting this site, my then 13 year old son said, "you're not a vet, Mom!" That didn't stop me. I've spent lots of time at the vets with Bailey. I have EXPERIENCE as a dog parent, I am a bangup researcher and I love dogs. There are millions of people motivated by love who want to learn more about giving their dogs quality care. I can help!
